Well Done
To the Monaghan Senior team who produced a comeback of heroic proportions in Kiltoom last weekend. 1-2 in the last couple of minutes was enough to secure 2 valuable points. The next outing is against Down in Clones this Sunday at 2pm. We are all hoping it will be another 2 points secured. Muineachain Abú
Senior Team
Training starts this coming Sunday morning at 10am in the Peace Link. All players are asked to be there at 9.45 to be ready to go for ten.
County Teams
Just a note on how are lads are faring at county level. Fabian Beggan is going very well for the county minors playing between midfield and the half forward line. They had a challenge match before the senior game at the weekend. The minor league starts in a couple of weeks so the best of luck to Fabian in that. James Mealiff was also in action for the Monaghan U-21’s in their Shamrock Cup match against Louth. James played the full match as Monaghan went on to win by a point. Ben Daly was also in action for Fermanagh U-21’s in their games against Mayo and Donegal recently. In fact James Mealiff (DCU) and Ben Daly (DIT) both won their respective All-Ireland Fresher’s quarter finals. This means there is now a possibility they will play against each other in the Semi Finals. There would definitely be a few interested Clones spectators at that one!
