Tyholland Notes

SLotto: Results for w/e 16th January 2016: Jackpot €6,800. No winner. Lucky dip winners; Brenda Fitzpatrick, Mary Fowler, C. Lavery, Caroline Mullen. The jackpot next week is €6,900. Tickets are available at €2 each or 3 for €5. The draw will take place on Saturday night in the club.

Registration: Thanks to everyone who paid their club registration last Friday. Michelle Treanor is continuing to take registrations and can be contacted on 086 8907240. The fees are as follows; Senior Players €30, Adults €20, U18 €10. An adult must be registered with any children. Family membership is €50 (this does not include senior players). Remember registration must be paid in order for a player to train or play at ANY level. There will be no exception to this.

Coaches: With training due to commence in February we are still appealing for coaches for our Minor and U12 teams. No experience is necessary as training will be given. Please contact Paddy on 087 2231310.

Ladies: Our enthusiastic Senior Ladies began training last week and are appealing for someone to come forward with a view to coaching the Senior and Minor Ladies team. So if you are interested please contact Fiona on 087 7116380. Many thanks to Barry Duffy who is helping out in the meanwhile.

Plaque: If you would like your name to be added to the Plaque please contact Kevin Kavanagh on 087 7978634. The fee is €100 but please note we can accept no further additions after 31st January.

1916 Centenary: Orla Donnelly has been appointed as our new cultural officer and we intend to commemorate the centenary of the Easter Rising within the club later this year. If you have any ideas or would like to get involved please email pro.tyholland.monaghan@gaa.ie or contact 086 6053561.

Ulster Canal: There will be a talk on the history of the Ulster Canal and plans to make a cycle path between Middletown and Monaghan in the Complex next Wednesday 27th January at 7.30. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Drama Group: Tyholland Drama group are once again hard at the rehearsals for their next play “When the Cats Away”. It is another comedy play by Brian Harvey and is sure to keep us all laughing from start to finish. So keep free 20th or 21st February for two great nights of entertainment with proceeds going to local groups and charities!
