Happy New Year

A very happy and healthy new year to all our members and to all involved in the club in any way.

Awards Evening 2015

Two very enjoyable gatherings took place on Sunday 27th December when the achievements of our players at all levels in 2015 were recognised and celebrated. First up was the juvenile Awards in the hall where a large crowd of parents and friends turned out to honour the various juvenile teams and their mentors for their efforts during the past year. Things kicked off with a parade of trophies followed by presentations to all the juvenile squads from U6 to U16. On stage to present the various awards were county players Conor Boyle, Dessie Mone and Conor McManus. Most improved player awards at the various age levels included, u10 Player, Henry Kelly, u12 Player, Shane McCully, u14 Player, Jack Dunlop, u16 & Overall Juvenile Player Jack Gormley. Corn Na nOg winners Patrick Keenan and Conor McCooey were also recognised on the night.

Later on in the evening a large gathering assembled at the clubrooms to honour our league winning minor team and the individual achievements of a number of our senior players during 2015. Kieran Lavelle was Fear an Ti for the night while Frank McManus introduced the Players of the Year which included a very heartfelt citation for Senior Player of the Year, Vinny Corey, as well as Reserve Player, Pauric Boyle and Young Player, Killian Lavelle.
Also recognised were our Ulster Championship winning County Players, Conor Boyle, Dessie Mone, Vinny Corey and Conor McManus, our Ulster all Stars, Dessie Mone, Vinny Corey and Conor McManus who in addition to picking up another All Star was Ulster Player of the Year. All were presented with photographic mementoes of their achievements in 2015. Following the presentation of the minor medals Club Chairman, Aidan Deighan brought the formal proceedings to a close as the celebrations continued.
