There are 10 new faces in the squad namely – Mark Thornton, Jamie Smith, Niall Mc Keown and Fergal Mc Geough from Rockcorry, Anthony and Donal Courtney from Blackhill, Daryl Treanor from Killanny, Karl Mc Quaid from Emyvale, Barry Hanratty from Castleblayney and Barry Mc Ginn, Doohamlet. Also making returns after absences from the squad are David Millar Drumhowan, Paraic Keenan, Corduff and Owen Coyle Latton.
Monaghan will play open their campaign in Clones on the 3rd of January at 2pm against University Ulster who will have Kieran Hughes, Ryan Mc Anespie and Rory Beggan in their ranks. On the 10th of January its back to Clones with Armagh the opposition and finally on Wednesday 13th January it’s neighbours from the west, Cavan in Kingspan Breffni Park. Mc Kenna Cup Tickets can now be bought at the opening round games.
