Monaghan Coaching Conference – This takes place on this Saturday November 7th in Our Ladys Secondary School Castleblayney commencing at 9am. With a host of excellent speakers and some practical sessions this is an event all coaches should try and attend. This years theme is “Successful clubs;by chance or by design” , so all the workshops and presentations will have a relevance to developing our club and club coaches. This years conference will be both practical & theory based. To name but a few, the presenters include; Dr. Eugene Young (Director of Coaching & Games in Ulster GAA), Oisin McConville ( Former Crossmaglen & Armagh senior player) , Micheal Glover (Ulster Regional Development Hurling Officer) & Ryan Porter (Monaghan Senior Team Coach). See the Monaghan GAA Website for more details. Also on there is information regarding upcoming Level One and Foundation Coaching Courses.
A second course will be held on Wednesday 25 November, 7-10pm
It is recommended that all those who are involved within GAA clubs have completed a child protection course and this should be repeated every three years. This includes all coaches, committee members, referees, groundsmen, bus drivers and anyone else who may have direct contact with children.
