SHALOTTO

There was no winner of the Shalotto held in Atkinson’s Shamrock Bar on the 1st November 2015.  Numbers Drawn were 19-22-23-27.  Lucky Dip Winners: Daithí Toner, Keady, Lorna Atkinson, Aidan Brady, John Paul Duffy and Karana Carroll, Annyalla.  The Jackpot stands at €7,000 and our draw will take place in the Social Club on Sunday evening next. You may join the Annual Shalotto Scheme by contacting any member of the Club Committee.

PLEASE NOTE: ALL Shalotto tickets must be handed in by 9.30 p.m. every Sunday evening to ensure that they go into the draw.

THANK YOU: As our Intermediate Season for 2015 comes to a close we would like to thank our Management Team of Ciaran Branigan, Tony Collins and Kieran McElvaney for all their hard work this season.  Their commitment, dedication and professionalism was first class and we wish them all the very best in their future projects for 2016.  A special word of thanks also to our First Aid team of Gerry Atkinson, Ciaran Hanley and John O Brien for their commitment, expertise and dedication to our team throughout the year.  We would also like to thank all our players and look forward to the 2016 season. We once again wish to thank our Senior Sponsor EC Construction for their continued support which is greatly appreciated.

 

GOOD LUCK: to Darren Bishop and the O’Neill Shamrocks Ladies Team against Steelstown (Derry) in the Ulster Club Junior Championship this Sunday at 1.00 p.m. in Killyclogher.  Please give them your support!!  Good luck also to the Donaghmoyne Ladies B team in the Ulster Intermediate Club Championship directly afterwards.

CONGRATULATIONS: to Donaghmoyne Ladies on claiming their 9th Ulster Title last weekend after winning the Ulster Senior Club Championship and best of luck to them in the All Ireland Quarter Final.

ATKINSONS SHAMROCK BAR 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY – THIS SATURDAY 7TH NOVEMBER 2015
Atkinsons Shamrock Bar’s 10 Year Anniversary kicks off this Saturday at 11 a.m. with a Coffee Morning indoors – proceeds in aid of the Alzheimer’s Unit St. Mary’s.  Meanwhile outdoors at 11am in Cremartin football field there will be an Adult 7 aside mixed blitz – proceeds in aid of Leukemia Trust Fund, Cremartin GAA & O’Neill Shamrocks.  €100 entry per team.   Then at 9pm there will be music by G-Mac, Raffle and Auction. Finger food served.  Come along and support these good causes and enjoy what promises to be a great day!

CPR & DEFIBRILLATOR REFRESHER EVENING

CPR & DEFIBRILLATOR Refresher evening for EVERYONE who has completed the 4-hour training course will be held in Cremartin Hall on Monday evening the 9th of November. Call in any time between 8pm and 9pm.

 

Wedding Bells: Congratulations to Claire Mulligan and Aidan McGuigan who got married recently.  We wish them both many years of happiness together.

It is great to see former Cremartin player Dominic Mulligan home from America also for the occasion!

 

GERRY MCELROY FUNDRAISING DANCE: takes place on Saturday 14th November in Lisdoonan Community Centre with dancing to Declan Nerney.  Please note there will be buses leaving from Ballybay to take anyone who needs a lift to it.  Please support as all monies raised go to local charities.

 

NATIONAL CLUB DRAW

Congratulations: to Scotstown, Doohamlet and Rockcorry on winning their respective Ulster Club games last weekend.

 

MONAGHAN GAA COACHING CONFERNENCE

The Monaghan GAA Coaching Conference will take place this Saturday 7th November in Our Lady’s Castleblayney.  The conference is targeting all club coaches from Juvenile to senior level and anybody with an interest in coaching and promoting Gaelic Games. The cost is €15 per person or €50 for a group 4.  Please see monaghangaa.ie for more details. CHILD PROTECTION COURSES 

Monaghan GAA will be holding two Child Protection courses in Cloghan this November. The first course will take place on Wednesday 18th November from 7-10pm at a cost of €10 per person.  The second course will take place on Wednesday 25th November from 7-10pm.
It is recommended that all those who are involved within GAA clubs have completed a Child Protection Course and this should be repeated every three years.
