Another All Star

A big night for club and county at The Convention Centre Dublin on Friday last when Conor McManus was honoured with an All Star Award for 2015, his second  and Monaghan’s tenth such award  overall. There was a great welcome for Conor and his All Star Statuette at the club on Sunday evening where he was joined in celebration by many friends and club members of all ages, with numerous photoopportunities arising. Well done also to Vinnie Corey who was honoured with a nomination and unlucky not to bring a second award down the road. There was stiff competition for places and as often happens the big guns won out on this occasion. Nonetheless a great honour for our club to see our very own players get recognition at national level to add to the Ulster All Star awards picked up by Vinnie, Dessie and Conor recently.

Clontibret Defibrillator Group

A training course will be held on Saturday morning 28thNovember in the Community Centre. The training will cover Adult and Child CPR and how to use the defibrillator. Places on the course must be booked in advance as spaces are limited. Please contact Irene on 087 2322420 or Kitty on 086 8099253.
