After today’s #Ulsterclub games all Monaghan Clubs have reached their respective semifinals
In the Senior Quarter Final at Clones Scotstown dethroned the 2014 Ulster Club SFC champions Slaughtneil on a full time scoreline Scotstown 1-15 Slaughneil 0-15. They will now go on to meet Tyrone champions Trillick in the semi final on Sunday 15th November Venue & Time TBC Full match report available at http://www.gaa.ie/b2667a
In the Intermediate Quarter Final played at Kingspan Breffni Park Doohamlet came back from playing the last 20 minutes of normal time with 14 men and a 57th minute Ballyhaise goal with Barry Mc Bennett scoring the equaliser in the 60th minute to bring the game to extra time. The 4 points in the 1st period of extra time laid the foundation to their win with a full time score Doohamlet 0-15 Ballyhaise 1-10. They will now play Down Champions Loughinisland in the semi final on Sunday 15th November with venue and time TBC.
The Junior Quarter Final was the classic game of two halves with Rockcorry leading 0-12 to 0-2 at half time. However Coa from Fermanagh fought back in the second half at Brewster Park to leave 14 man Rockcorry with just a three point victory at the end. Full time score was Rockcorry 0-16 Coa 1-1o. They will now meet Glassdrumman from Down in their semi final on Sunday 15th November with Venue and time TBC
Also congratulations to Donaghmoyne ladies who won another Ulster title on Saturday when they overcame Termon from Donegal on a full time scoreline Donaghmoyne 0-14 Termon 0-7 to win a 9th Ulster title. Commiserations must go to Monaghan Harps Minor Hurlers who lost out to a stronger Keady side in their ulster game.
