5k Run/Walk
2k Family Fancy Dress Walk and family fun day.
Registration: 10.00am. Race starts at 12.00pm sharp
€10 entry fee for 5k.
€5 for single entry for 2k fancy dress walk or €10 for a family.
Parents wishing to do the 5k run can leave their children in Toome community Centre under experienced supervision.
Fancy Dress Disco, Face Painting, Halloween Games, Bouncy Castle and lots of entertainment.

We want your scrap!: For the next couple of weeks, there will be a skip in Toome Gfc
for scrap metal. If there’s something you’ve been meaning to get rid of, but haven’t gotten around to it, we’ll come and c ollect it from you. Monaghan Coaching Conference – This takes place on Saturday November 7th in Our Ladys Secondary School Castleblayney commencing at 9am. With a host of excellent speakers and some practical sessions this is an event all coaches should try and attend. This years theme is “Successful clubs;by chance or by design” , so all the workshops and presentations will have a relevance to developing our club and club coaches. This years conference will be both practical & theory based. To name but a few, the presenters include; Dr. Eugene Young (Director of Coaching & Games in Ulster GAA), Oisin McConville ( Former Crossmaglen & Armagh senior player) , Micheal Glover (Ulster Regional Development Hurling Officer) & Ryan Porter (Monaghan Senior Team Coach). Club Draw Tickets: The GAA National Club Draw is now an annual event following its success over the past two years, in which over €4.5 million has been raised by clubs. The sole purpose of the GAA National Club Draw is to assist clubs in their drive to raise much needed funds to aid in the development and the promotion of our games.
- This is an opportunity for clubs to raise up to €20,000.
- Each club retains all the proceeds from the tickets sold by their club.
- All prizes are provided by Ard Chomhairle.
Tickets remain at €10 each – The club would greatly appreciate if anyone wishes to get involved in selling tickets – contact Irene or Ciaran if you are interested.
Congratulations: To all of our young players who were involved in the Broomfield, Annalitten & Aughnafarcon teams in the Cumann na mBunscoil finals – as always, the youngsters did themselves proud, and it was notable that when the team photos were taken, the Toome men were invariably standing beside each other in their schools photos!
Toome Community Group: The Community Group are doing brilliant work at the minute, ensuring that the Community Centre is a hive of activity every evening. The Community Notes appear weekly in the ‘Around The Villages’ section in the Northern Standard.
