U13 Blitz – We took part in a blitz in Cloghan on Thursday night last under lights. We had games against Inniskeen, Rockcorry and Toome with the boys winning one game on the night in an overall disappointing performance with a good number of players not near their best.
Juveniles – Our outdoor juvenile season ended on Saturday morning last with an internal blitz played in glorious Autumn sunshine- Over 30 children took part split in 4 teams Mayo, Dublin, Kerry and Monaghan. After each team played 3 group matches we ended up with 2 finals – First up in the Shield Final was Kerry v Monaghan and after a very exciting game it finished level at 7 points each – The Cup final had the Dubs against the men from the West – Mayo. Again after a close tight affair it ended level at 6pts each with Mayo scoring a point with the last kick of the ball. Well done to all players and coaches on another enjoyable season and remember to keep practising the skills at home and stay active over the Winter months. We will be running an Indoor program on Saturday evenings in November so watch this space. We will be looking some additional help to run this program. You can see some photos of the day on the Drumhowan facebook page.
