Monaghan Coaching & Games held a very successful 1st year football Super Touch Blitz on Tuesday the 15th of September in Cloghan. It was great to see all the eligible Secondary Schools in the county taking part in the blitz. For all the players, this was more than likely the 1st time they were representing their schools on the football field and they done so with great commitment and skill. In total over 250 players took part in the blitz. All the players were divided into 23 teams with each team completing a minimum of three games lasting 20 minutes each.
We would like to thank all the schools for coming to the blitz and all the teachers for helping out in mentoring/ managing the teams on the day. Also we would like to thank all the Transition Year students who came out and refereed the games.
Next Tuesday the 22nd of September, the Secondary School Senior Boys 7-a-side blitz will take place in Cloghan between 7pm – 9pm. Could all schools please let Patrick McCarron know how many teams their school will be entering by 4pm this Friday.
