Championship Winning Teams 1960/61
We will be holding a celebration night on Saturday Oct 3rd remembering the championship winning teams of 1960 and 1961. This event will take place in the sports complex and is a night for all ages. A sit down buffet meal will be served at 8pm sharp to start proceedings followed by a night of entertainment, craic and remembrance. Tickets are €15 for adults and €6 for U16’s and are available now from any committee member. Admission by ticket only.
Family Fortunes and Barn Dance
Preparations are well underway for Saturday the 23rd October. The club will be hosting Family Fortunes followed by a barn dance with music from The Mad Ass Mules. Check our social media platforms for more information.
All Ireland Final
Since the Ulster Final was a big success the club will be showing the All Ireland Final on the big screen in the social club on Sunday. There will also be movies shown for the kids so something for all the family.
Greenfield Foods SFC
The seniors semi final will be played on weekend 3/4th October.
Universal Graphics JFC
The juniors bowed out at the semi final stage of the championship on Sunday to the hands of Blackhill for the 2nd year in a row. Final Score was Blackhill 3-12 Scotstown 2-9.
Eurotech JFL
The juniors are back to league action this weekend when they play Oram at home at 6pm.
Platinum Tanks RFL
The Reserves will play Truagh in the final of the RFL Division 1. Time and Date TBC.
Gerry’s Prepared Veg U14 Division 1
The boys won the the Division 1 Shield on Saturday in Drumhowan defeating Latton on a scoreline of 3-7 to 1-10. Well done to all the boys who worked hard all year and to the management team of Mark Hand, Rory Beggan, Cian Mohan and Adrian Carbin.
Senior Ladies
The senior girls lost to Aughnamullen on Wednesday last. They play their last league game this Saturday away to Carrickmacross
Minor Girls
The girl’s had a good 5-11 to 1-5 win over Tyholland on Sunday evening. They are scheduled to play St.Brigids this Sunday at 11am in the last league game before the semi finals.
U16 Girls
The U16 girls produced a top class performance on Friday evening in Emyvale to overcome Truagh in difficult conditions in the league final. Two early goals kept Scotstown at 6 points in front of the duration of the game which they ran out 8 point winners on a scoreline of 5-6 to 1-10.
U14 Girls
The girls lost to St.Brigids in the championship semi final on Sunday by 5 points.
Scór na nÓg
The Scór na nÓg Competition (Under 17) will be held on 30th & 31st of October with the County Final on November 7th. Scór na bPáistí (for Primary School children) will be held in Ionad CLG Sheáin Mhic Dhiarmada, Threemilehouse on Saturday October 10th at 7pm. Competitions in Rince Foirne, Rince Seit, Solo Singing, Ballad Singing, Recitation, Group Music, Drama and Quiz. Please email entries to irishculturalofficer.monaghan@gaa.ie orbredamccooey@gmail.com for Scór na bPáistí by Friday 25th September and for Scór na nÓg by October 12th. Please state name of competitor, title of song/recitation etc and name of GAA/LGFA club.
