Juveniles: The year is coming to a busy end for our juveniles, including our U-11s, who enjoyed great success at the BC Tournament in Emyvale last Saturday. We entered two teams into the tournament. One team couldn’t get through a competitive group containing Tyholland, Aghaloo, Emyvale and Killeevan, but the other team progressed to enjoy a successful run. A Cup quarter-final win over Clones set up a clash with Castleblayney, where an excellent team performance secured a 0-11 to 0-4 victory, with Fionán Ó Gallchóir, Eoin O’Hanlon, Luke McManus and Seán Callan on target. That put our lads through to the final, which was a thrilling game against Keady. The teams were level at 0-5 each after a first half where Cian Bradley and Luke got the Harps scores, while Michael McMorrow, Fionán and Eoin got on the scoresheet in the second half. Keady were a point up late on, but Luke equalized to send it to extra-time, after which the sides were still level at 0-13 apiece. The game would be then be decided by the next score in a thrilling finish and Luke again stepped up to kick the winner. Congratulations to Martin Sheridan, Mel McMorrow and everyone involved. The players involved were: Senan Cudden, Scarlett Herron, Seán Callan, Michael McMorrow, Gary Devlin, Eoin O’Hanlon, Cian Bradley, Fionán Ó Gallchóir, Luke McManus, Shea Swift, Mark Clerkin, Ross Finnegan, Ethan Ballantine, Patrick Dooley-Duffy, Jordan Crampton, Jake McConnon, Josh Kelly, Aidan Cunningham, Morgan Coyle, Oisín Reilly, Liam McCabe, Dáire Conlon, Shane Moran, Max Mallen, Aidan McGeough, Gregory O’Connell. Well done also to Adrian Gunn and his U-9 team who reached the final of an U-10 tournament in Aghagallon, Co Antrim last Saturday and Gareth Swift and the U-8s who played Emyvale in a challenge match on Friday. Our U-12 Street League began on Wednesday, leading up to finals at our Sports Day on Saturday week.
