Grattans Oige: It’s safe to say that the future of Inniskeen GAA is in safe hands . Last Wednesday night in Killanny saw our U16’s lift the Gerry’s Fruit and Veg Div 1 Championship cup after defeating Carrickmacross. Inniskeen were never behind Carrickmacross throughout the game and at half time the score was 0:08 to 0:01. The second half of the game saw Carrickmacross scored two goals ,however the Grattans dominated the last fifteen minutes of the game and full time from Killanny was Inniskeen 2:14 to 2:07. However they could not start celebrating yet!. On Saturday they travelled to Blackhill were they played St Pats in the Football League Div1 Shield final .The Grattans where the favourites going into the game and that was proven.Half time saw the Grattans lead 3:4 to 0:05. The second half of the game saw the Grattans getting another seven points on the scoreboard and another goal. The Inniskeen defence worked really well as St Pats could only score two points and a goal . Full time from Blackhill 4:12 St Pats 1:07. And also we congratulate our U12’s when they lifted the Football league Div 3 Cup after beating Clontibret in a very entertaining match in Blackhill. Full time score Inniskeen 3:11 Clontibret 3:7. Well done to all the players and mentors . The club is very proud of you all and it is wonderful to see our Juveniles having a fantastic year . Our two U14 teams are out this Saturday. The Div 1 team play Scotstown in the Div 1 Shield semi final at 12:00 in Pairc Mhuire .The Div 5 team play Scotstown in the Div 5 Shield semi final at 12:00 in Pairc Grattan.
