We held our 12th Annual BC Blitz last Saturday 19th September and with 26 teams taking part it proved again to be a very successful and well supported tournament. 16 teams played in the Cup competition with Monaghan Harps & last year’s winners Keady making it through to the cup final with Monaghan Harps running out eventual winners. 10 teams played in the Shield competition with Drumhowan & Clontibert making it through to the Shield final with Drumhowan coming away with the honours on this occasion. The winners of the skills competition was Newtownbutler.
A huge words of thanks must be extended to everyone how helped out at this tournament be it car parking, pitch co-ordinating, electrical work, referring, supplying goal posts, Red Cross, supplying serving & cooking food, Aghaloo for their barbeque, because without all your help this event would not be possible. A special word of thanks must go to the Colton Family who turn up in strength every year and there enthusiasm is reflected in the success of the tournament. Finally the tireless work behind the scenes by our Juvenile Secretary Aine Sheehan fundamental in the efficient running of this event and her work is very much appreciated.
