The final 2 games of the season will be against Tyholland  at home and Emyvale away.

U11  BC Tournament – An U11 selection  travelled to Emyvale on Saturday morning last to take part in this annual Blitz. They  were placed in the Shield Competition in a group along with Eire Og, Clontibret, Inniskeen and Augher.  The team opened up with a good win over Eire Og before going under by three points to a strong Clontibret side in the second game. That left the team needing to win both remaining games to stay in the competition which the boys duly did with convincing wins over Inniskeen and Augher. The club  then faced a strong Tyholland side who topped the other group in the semi final. After a fantastic game of football Drumhowan emerged narrow winners by two points on a score line of 0-6 to 0-4 .The opponents in the final were Clontibret again and the boys were determined to try and turn the tables this time. Clontibret opened the scoring before Drumhowan replied with two points to take the lead which they kept to the end. The second half was end to end as both teams went for it and despite tiredness creeping in the quality of the play was very good by both sides. In the end Drumhowan hung on for a narrow one point win on a scoreline of Drumhowan 0-6  Clontibret 0-5. There was great excitement as team captain Ciaran Keenan lifted the BC Shield on behalf of his team mates. All the players were then presented with a trophy each. Thanks to the Emyvale club on the invite and their hospitality on the day. Thanks also to all the parents who attended and cheered on the boys.

U10  Drumhowan Tournament. Drumhowan will be holding a  tournament on Saturday morning Oct 3rd. Help on the day will be neeeded with stewards for parking and also helpers in and around the pitches. Help will also be needed in the kitchen as there will be catering for the teams and supporters. If anyone wants to cook-bake something for that day it would be appreciated.

U8  The U8s have a home game against Aughmnmullen this Saturday the  26th Septmeber at  10pm All players should be at the pitch for 9.40am and it will finish around 11.15. This will probably be this teams last match of the season so a full turnout is needed.

Monday Training –  This will finish up on next Monday 28th September. It has been running since 2nd February so it is  time for a break for both players and coaches.  However the club ask parents to keep all children fit and active over this Winter period. Training starts at 6.45pm and finishes at 7.45pm.

Sympathy – the club extends sympathy to the Mc Donnell and Forde Families on the death of Gerard Forde who was buried in Castleblayney last Saturday.

Congratulations to St. Brigids who captured the U14 Div 2 League title when they overcame Latton last Saturday.
