Lotto Results: As of the first of September 2015 the Ballybay Pearse Brothers Blotto draw there will only be five €20 winners drawn each week. Unfortunately this is a necessary by the club as ticket sales continue to fall and it will bring the results in line with a majority of other club draws within the county, as Ballybay where one of the few offering ten secondary prizes to the jackpot.

Fixtures: All roads lead to St Marys Park Castleblayney this Saturday afternoon for the Ballybay senior team and Clontibret for the Quarter Finals of the Greenfield Foods Senior Football Championship. Throw in for the round of fixtures is at 3pm, please come out and support the maroon & white.

Juveniles: Last Saturday afternoon in Blackhill saw the completion of juvenile teams representing Ballybay for the 2015 season, with the exception of the GoGames for U8 & U10 members. The club suffered mixed emotions on the day with the U14 team holding their nerve in a tense affair to claim a two point victory over Donaghmoyne in the Gerry’s Prepared Veg Division 3 Shield Final. Unfortunately the St Pats U16’s were unable to make it a memorable double on the day as they fell to a strong Inniskeen team in the Gerry’s Prepared Veg Division Shield final. The club would like to congratulate all involved in the achievement in getting to this stage of the competitions.

A special mention of thanks to all mentors that helped the juvenile teams in any way throughout the 2015 season, the supports who acted as the teams extra man from the terraces, to Brendan and the field committee for having the facilities at the ready at all times and finally and most importantly the players who represented the club week in week out. It was great to see so many numbers involved, developing the skills of the game and more importantly having fun each week. Each member has done the club proud. The senior and juvenile committees would like to take this opportunity to thank all for their efforts and we’ll continue to work together to make the 2016 season even better.

Best of Luck: The club would like to wish member Gerry Traynor all the very beat as he prepares for his captains day at Clones Golf Club this Saturday. Gerry is a dedicated supporter and active member within the club so we wish him all the best.

Website: The club are currently working on developing a website to celebrate its colourful past & bright future while using it as an additional means of communication for Pearse Brothers both living in the area and those spread out over all corners of the world. If any club members of indeed members of the public have any info on the history of the club and would like to share it could they please contact Niall on pro.ballybaypearsebrothers.monaghan@gaa.ie or call him on 0871131268.

Bingo: Bingo will continue every Tuesday night at the later time of 9pm for the summer months in the club rooms. If there’s any member of the public, particularly elderly ladies & gentlemen, who would like to attend the night but struggle for transportation there is a free bus run within the local area to bring people to & from the club rooms. If you like to avail of this service please contact any committee member.
