JFL: We lost to Seans last Sunday in what was a close encounter until the final ten minutes. Final Score: Seans 5-12 Aghabog 2-08

Fixture: We are due to play Eire Og this Saturday evening at 5:30pm.

U16: Congratulations to our U16 team, Patrick Emmetts, who secured the U16 League and Championship Double with victory over Sean McDermotts in Tyholland on Thursday evening last. There was a huge crowd in attendance for this local derby. Seans were first out of the blocks, starting strongly and deservedly led by 2-04 to 2-02 at half-time although they could have been further in front but for some missed chances in front of goal. We started the second half strongly however the woodwork and some fine saves from the Seans goalkeeper had us wondering if we would be left to rue these missed chances. The lads went from strength to strength as the half progressed and ran out comfortable winners on a scoreline of 3-10 to 2-06. Fair play to the lads who really gelled well as a team this year and played some delightful throughout the season. Great credit must go to their management.

U14: Our Under 14 team Patrick Emmets had a thrilling victory over Doohamlet in the Division 5 league final on Saturday last.

We held a narrow half-time lead . Thev second –half yielded some brilliant scoring by both teams & with a combination of great defending , good  goalkeeping & score taking Patrick Emmets held out for victory in a pulsating finish.

These players from Aghabog & Currin trained diligently throughout the season & their efforts have now being rewarded with the Championship & League Double.

Thanks to the team mentors & to all the parents  for their cooperation with transport to training & games during the long season.

The winning panel was Jack McQuaid Tiarnan Kearns Owen Mullen  Niall Kierans Michael Leonard Paudie Gleeson Aidan Leonard Conor Smyth James McQuaid Eoin Fitxpatrick Paul Duffy Tadgh Cosgrove Danny McQuaid  Shane Duffy Daithi Carolan Conor Smyth Caoimhin Sherry Josh OHanlon.

The game was handled   in an excellent manner by referee Andrew Mullen.
