Junior Football League Toome
Our senior players had a home tie against Toome on Wednesday week last. This was a rough and tumble encounter where the home side held a commanding half time lead by 7 points. However with the start of the second half came the rain. Conditions under foot lead to a lot of ball being turned over by either side. Toome stuck to their task and although the Seans pushed their score on , the visitors picked away at the lead. This left a nail biting finish in the dying minutes where Toome took the last couple of scores to snatch a draw.
U12’s
Hard luck to our U12’s who travelled to Currin on Friday night last for the Semi- Final of the Shield. Their opponents, Patrick Sarsfields, were very strong in all areas of the pitch. That asides, our young players gave one hundred percent but alas it was not to be. Well done to the team and mentors for their commitment during the year.
