Reserves: We had a 3-8 to 0-9 win at home to Aghabog in the RFL Division Three semi-final last Wednesday. A tight first half ended level at 0-5 apiece, but we gained the upper hand after the restart with a goal from a penalty by Dessie McGarry. Mark McCaughey and Cónall McKenna also found the net, while at the other end, some strong defending and a couple of good saves by Ronan McGann kept Aghabog out to put us through to the final against Killeevan, which is due to be played on Wednesday week, August 19.

Our lads fell 1-1 to 0-0 down early on and despite hitting back with a goal from Conor Devlin, we still trailed by 2-2 to 1-0 at half-time. The Harps boys stepped it up in the second half, however, with a goal by Dylan Ballantine and points from Oisín Fagan (two), Luke Coyle and Anann Connor turning things in our favour. Further points by Conor and Luke and goals by Oisín, Luke and Mujtaba Gamal secured a 5-6 to 2-2 win.

Hurling:
U-12s: Our U-12s travelled to Castleblayney on Monday evening for their league semi-final. With Castleblayney having topped the league, five points ahead of the Harps, a tough battle was promised. However, our lads, led by Jim Dalton on the sideline, took to the task well and with the scoreline at 1-3 to 0-4 at half-time they had put themselves in a great position. With the game in the balance there were big performances all over the field which ensured that the lads in green and white finished a tight and entertaining affair on top on a scoreline of 1-6 to 0-5. We now take on Keady in the league final on Monday, August 17, with the venue and time to be confirmed.
Team & Subs: Daragh Croarkin, Mark McManus, Jack McDonald, Liam Conway, Che Treanor, Tiarnán O’Rourke, Aidan McKenna, Luke Aughey, Cian Bradley, Shea Swift, Luke McManus, Oisín Murray, Jordan Crampton, Aidan McGeough, Oisín Reilly, Liam McCabe.
U-14s: Our Under-14s have one remaining postponed fixture at home to Knockbridge on Monday, August 10 at 7.30pm. Knockbridge sit four points ahead of us in the league and a stiff test is guaranteed but with our lads playing for top spot in the league shield competition, it’s sure to be a keenly contested match.
U-16s: Our U-16s played Cootehill at home on Monday evening. Our team, made up largely of our U-14 squad, took the lead early on through a Niall McKenna goal. After this promising start, Cootehill’s advantage in strength began to show as they picked off a few scores to work their way into the lead and despite points from Nathan O’Donoghue and Tommy Croarkin we went in eight points down at half-time. We continued to put in a huge effort throughout the second half but Cootehill grew more and more into the game and extended their lead, despite super performances from Luke Coyle, Emmett Walshe and Lee Treanor in the Harps back line. In the end Cootehill proved deserving of their 2-16 to 2-3 win. Next up is a home game against East Cavan Gaels this Sunday at 12pm.
Team: Seán Conway; Luke Coyle, Anthony Greenan, Emmett Walshe; Kian O’Leary, Dylan McAree, Lee Treanor; Nathan O’Donoghue, Tommy Croarkin; Jorin Connor, Lochlainn Power, Niall McKenna; Killian Treanor, Brendan Óg Ó Dufaigh, Evan Meighan.
