Emyvale Notes

By Majella Boyd Fri 21st Aug

Help: Emyvale are hosting Clones V Cremartin  in the Intermediate  Championship this coming Friday night if you can spare any time to help with stewarding the match it would be greatly appreciated.

Intermediate Championship: Emyvale progressed to the quarter finals of the Intermediate Championship with a comfortable win over Clones in Scotstown on Sunday last. It wasn’t comfortable in the first half as Emyvale took awhile to settle into the game and Clones went in at halftime leading by three points after they had rattled the back of the Emyvale net twice. After the resumption, Emyvale fired over four points without reply to go one up. Clones replied with a point but that was to be their last score & Emyvale went on to win on a score line Emyvale 1:16 Clones 2:4.

Team & scorers: Gerard Mc Caffrey, Mervyn Browne, John Flannery, Aaron Loughran Karl Mc Quaid, Ryan Mc Anespie 0:2, Gregory Devlin, James Bellew, Colin Hughes 0:1, David Bellew,  Garreth Mc Quaid 0:6, Conor Bellew, Michael Flannery, Martin Mc Aree, Daniel Mc Mahon 1:05, Subs., David Mc Allister 0:2, Darren Mc Kernan, Conor Mc Quillan, Sean Mc Meel, James Mc Allister. The man in the middle Sean Gilsenan had a good game too. Emyvale now play Doohamlet in the next round.
