Lá na gClub/Club Day.

Bhí lá mór na gclub ann an Sathairn seo caite agus muid ag ceiliuradh céad bliain. Last Saturday in very wet conditions Killeevan Sarsfields GAC Celebrated 100 years (1915-2015) in existence. 100 years of growing and developing our facilities and activities to cater for an even wider age range and number of people in our community.  The day was a huge success thanks to a massive effort put in by the organising committee, members of the club and of course our club supporters. Lá den scoth abhí againn agus muid ag siúl chuig céad bliain eile! From the parade to the pitch, the juvenile blitz, photographic and video displays, to the history talk on the club to the wonderful musicians, dancers and Scór performers, what a day! There are too many people to thank individually, so please, everyone who helped out, in anyway, take this as a token of our appreciation.  Photo’s of the many aspects of the day will go on our Facebook page over the coming days. Check them out and get an idea of the great atmosphere that was there.  Míle buíochas achan duine abhí pairteach linn ar an lá.

Cuirteoirí Gaoth Dobhair.

Bhí am ar dóigh againn an Sathairn seo caite 18ú Iúil. Thainig 43 imreoirí óga, Cailíní agus Buachaillí ó Ghaelteacht Dún na nGall chun cluichí a imirt i gcoinne a chairde nua i gCill Laobhain. A great weekend was had by all during the visit of C.L.G Ghaoth Dobhair to Killeevan Saturday last.  Congratulations to both club’s boys and girls teams who played some excellent football during two very entertaining and sporting games.  It’s a huge credit to our small club that we could cater for this large number. Many thanks to all in our club helped out to make this visit a resounding success.  From all the host families to all those who turned out at Páirc na Sairsealaigh to cheer on both teams. Special thanks to our Réiteoirí Dylan and Hannah, to our Club Oigifeach Cultúra RoseMary O’Reilly, County Oifig Cultúra Breda McCooey, our team mentors Minor, Patrick and Eamonn, Cathaoirleach Club na mBan Alison Lambe and Sheila McPhillips. Thanks to Fr. Peadar Corrigan P.P. for allowing us the use of the School assembly hall when a ‘plan B’ was required. Finally massive thanks to our own club for keeping up this valuable link. Go raibh míle maith agaibh go léir.  Míle buíochas fósta do C.L.G Ghaoth Dobhair, Sean De Burca, Paul McGowan agus Rachel agus na daoine fásta eile a thainig ó Gaoth Dobhair.  Is iontach a fheicéail an nasc seo ag dul ó neart go neart.
