Seniors:

No game last week due to Ulster final and some of our players got the opportunity to top up their tans and get in some ‘warm weather’ training. Watch website for fixtures.

 

Youth Affairs.

Under 6/ 8 /10’s

Training continues on Saturdays for these groups at 9:30am. New members always welcome.

 

Under 12’s

Patrick Sarsfields had an off day against Clontibret last Thursday in Scotshouse but they have a chance to get back into reckoning when they travel to Inniskeen on Thursday evening for a 7:30pm throw in. Bus to game from Newbliss. Time to follow by text.

 

Under 14’s

Patrick Emmetts followed up their Championship final win against Doohamlet with an emphatic win over the same opposition last Saturday in Scotshouse. Next game on Saturday 1st August in Rockcorry.

Under 16’s

Patrick Emmetts had a good win over Toome on Thursday last 6-15 to 5-11. They travel for their U16 championship semi final against Tyholland in Tyholland tonight Thursday 23rd with a 7:30 throw in and then travel to Rockcorry on 30th July.

 

Minors

Minors had a tight win over a very good Latton team in Scotshouse, only getting on top in the final stages. They travelled to Castleblayney on Tuesday evening last .

 

Juvenile draw

Thanks to all who supported the recent draw and who sold tickets. Winner of tickets, Fionnuala Kearns. Signed Monaghan Jersey, Jason Mc Kiernan. Monaghan training top, Gemma Smith. This draw was a great success, well done to all especially Patricia for their effort.

 

Referee

Well done to Terry Mc Entee who added another first to his ever expanding sporting C.V. when he refereed at half time at the Ulster final on Sunday last.

 

Ulster Final

Two more Ulster Senior football Championship medals come to Currin G.F.C. Congratulations to Dick Clerkin and Jack Mc Carron and their Monaghan team mates on their fantastic achievement in bringing home the Anglo Celt Cup for the second time in three years. All Monaghan gaels and we in Currin G.F.C. are basking in the glory of yet another history making achievement on Sunday last. What a brilliant day for Monaghan, our club and our two men. Well done and thanks boys.
