Over the past two days, all of our Kellogg’s Cul Camp Coaches have been put through their paces at the Coaches Training In-Service. The training took place in Cloghan between 10am -3pm for the full two days.

Over the course of the two days the coaches completed a number of different games that would be suitable to use at a Kellogg’s GAA Cul Camp. So as you can imagine the games involved a lot of fun, full participation (for the children!) and not forgetting the core skills of Gaelic Football, Hurling/ Camogie and Handball.

We were quite lucky this year with the fact the majority of our coaches worked on the camps over the past number of years so they will have a good idea on how to plan and deliver a quality coaching session to each and every child that takes part in the camp, no matter their ability or age.

The camps start next Monday morning with four camps in Clontibret, Carrickmacross, Clones and Toome. There is 18 camps taking place in the county over the next 5 weeks. Please see the poster below for the full details on each camp and when they will be taking place.

The cost of attending a Kellogg’s Cul Camp is €55 for the first child, €45 for the second child and €40 for every child there after.

The camps run from 10am to 2.30pm each day and our open to children from 5 to 13 years of age.

If you would like to register your child on a camp, you can do so by downloading the application form (click here) and sending it into the Monaghan GAA Coaching Offices. It is important that if you are using this method and plan on sending a cheque, that you make the cheque payable to ‘Monaghan County Board’. The other method you can use is filling out the application form online (click here). Alternatively you can register your child on the first morning of the camp.

If you have any questions in relation to the camps please do not hesitate to contact either the county coordinator Paul O’Connor (086 837 4827) or the county coaching and games administrator Patrick McCarron (087 216 3580) and they will be glad to help.
