Seniors:

Last week Corduff hosted round 9 of The Monaghan Electrical Intermediate League Corduff against Clones. Corduff dominated the opening encounters going ahead by 4 points leaving the visitors scoreless for 10 minutes. Very quickly Clones came into the game and the sides were level at the interval on a score line of Corduff 0-6 Clones 1-03.

The second half opened in a similar fashion with Corduff going ahead by 5 points before Clones registered a score. With the teams now trading scores and both reduced to 13 men per side it was all to play for going into the dying minutes. But with Jason Hand on form scoring 3 goals Corduff emerged winners by 5 points on a final score line of 3-12 to 2-10. Corduff earned 2 more valuable points on the League Table .

League action continues this Sunday 14th June when Corduff welcome Cremartin. Throw in is at 2pm so come along and support the Senior men.

Ladies:

The Corduff Ladies U14s were in action twice during the week. Last Thursday they were at home to Aghabog. In what was a very one sided match Corduff dominated both halves and ran away easy winners at the final whistle.

On Monday evening Corduff U14s were at home to Tyholland. In contrast to the previous game this was a very tightly fought competitive match. At the interval Tyholland went in a goal ahead. The Corduff girls regrouped and put in a massive team effort in the second half with everybody from the goalie to the full forward putting in a huge effort. Either side could have won the game with the winning score coming from Tyholland in injury time. In what was a goal fest with both teams scoring 8 goals each Tyholland were victorious by the narrowest margin of 8-06 to 8-04. Well done to the team and management on such a performance. The Corduff team was as follows : Ciara Farrelly, Leona Hill, Naoise Cunningham, Lorna Hand, Abbie Finegan, Shannon Duffy, Sadhbh Cassidy, Georgia Smith, Abbey McGivney, Chloe Finegan, Emily Hegarty, Annie Brennan, Elena McEnaney and Kayla Hand.
