Carrickmacross Hurling Notes

U8 & U10 had a great evening of hurling last Wednesday 27th when over 100 kids all under the age of 10 from Carrick, Clonitbret, Blayney and East Cavan Gaels took to the pitch on the Donaghmoyne Road, the weather stay dry after a few showers that day but that did not stop these future players, after a good hour of hurling with all kids playing at the same time, came home time with all kids getting drinks and crisps, the club would like to thank the visiting teams, coaches and all the parents, also our referees for the day, Patrick Bermingham, Luke Mc Kenna, Oran Kieran, Jack Marron, Michael Mcguire and Conor O Rourke, Next County blitz is Wednesday 17th June in Cloghan, training every Sunday Morning at 11-30 in Emmett centre, all kids from age of 5 from all Neighbour Parish are very welcome, Helmets and Hurleys supplied, .text Gene 0863655877U12 have no game this week, next game is Monday 8th June at home to Clonitbret, training is going ahead, can parents try and get their kids to training as numbers are low,

U14 game with Lisbellow last Monday was call off over our Irish weather, Next game is this Thursday away to Truagh in the semi final of the championship at 7-30, it would be great if most parents could make this game and cheer the lads on, best of luck lads and team coaches 

U16 & MINORS have a break now as exams are coming up, we want to wish all players the best of luck in their exams,

SENIORS our Seniors travel to Clontibret last Thursday evening and came home very happy players with a win of 0-14 to 1-09 in what again was a good hard hitting game with a lot of nice hurling played, TEAM Aiden Slevin, Paul [Rocky] Shannon, Jason Hughes, Stephen Corrigan, Jack Marron 0-1, Jamie Guinan, Aaron [Frank] Wilcox, Garett Keenan, Jason [Tuts] O Rourke 0-7, Luke Mc Kenna, Dailti Butler, Stiofen Mc Kenna, Caolain Martin 0-1, Barry Connolly 0-1, Eana Mc Suibhne 0-4, Gary Capaldi for Dailti Butler, Stephen Crosby for Aaron Wilcox, Mattie Donnelly, Michael Quinn, Lee Butler, Patrick Bermingham, well done to all players and manager team, this Thursday evening we play Castleblayney in Emmett centre at 8 in the semi final of the development league, as this is a home game we would love to see plenty of support, good luck to players and Management team, 

HARD LUCK to st. Joseph boys National School who lose out to Annyalla in the final of the primary School hurling league, some of these lads plays with our club

The club wants to wish a speedy recovery to our vice chairman Aiden Slevin, we all want to see you up and at it again,
