Results: On Wednesday evening last the seniors travelled to Inniskeen to complete the frst half of the league. With management able to recall a number of players back following injuries Ballybay fielded its strongest team to date and got off to a great start. Thomas O’Neil, Paul Finlay & Ciaran Gallighan were influential around the middle and provided Ballybay with the platform to drive on from their good start. The boys in the full back line got the better of their personal battles while our own inside forwards enjoyed the extra space available on the big Inniskeen pitch, with Hugh & Chris getting impressive scores to leave Ballybay three up at half time. After the impressive first half display they failed to push on in the second half and it was Inniskeen who played the better football in the second period. But Ballybay got the break they required when Chris hit the back of the net to give Ballybay some breathing space and where able to hold onto the win with Paul & Ciaran vital at guiding the team over the line. Full time score Inniskeen 0-10 Ballybay 1-11. Team: Sean Gorman, James Kerr, Drew Wylie, Ryan Wylie, Mark McArdle, Ciaran Gallighan, Shane McQuillan, Thomas O’Neil, Danny Gorman, Paul Stuart, Paul Finlay, Aaron Toner, Hugh Malone, Shane McGuiness, Chris McGuiness. The reserves were also away to Aughnamullan last night, match report to follow.
Fixtures: The seniors are away to Clontibret in a star match this Sunday afternoon at 2pm.
