Race Night

KIllanny GFC would like to thank all those who supported their recent Racenight and the local businesses who sponsored races.
Under 16

Cill Eanna 5g 18p

Doohamlet 3g 10p

Our under 16 team had a convincing win over the travelling Doohamlet side with excellent performances from the whole team. Those in the forward line to catch the eye were Conor Grimes, Edward Walsh and Daniel Leegan , midfield had complete control with Calum Murray and Oisin McConnon while the back line with Dean Connolly, Conor Guinan and Tommy Byrne all linking up well with their forward line and Cillian Collins, Sean Finn and Joshua Martin cleared everything that Doohamlet fired at them.

Under 12

Under 12’s travelled to Inniskeen last Thursday. Cillían McConnon got the first point of the game but Inniskeen then started to dominate going into a 1-4 to 1 point lead. Then thanks to goals from Matthew Maher and John Gartland and a point off the ground from Darragh O’Shea Killanny found themselves 2 points ahead at the interval. The beginning of second half saw the two teams trade points with Cillian McGahon and Thomas Gartland scoring for Killanny and then Cillían McConnon hit the back of the net to put Killanny 5 points ahead. Inniskeen got a goal back but 2 further points by Cillían McConnon and Cillian McGahon plus some outstanding defending by Christopher Tobin, Cuan O’Reilly, Jake McCarthy, Cian Burns and goalkeeper Michael Grimes saw Killanny hold out for a win on scoreline of 3-13 to 3-08. Well played everybody.
