UNDER 14’s: had a very comfortable win over their neighbours Donaghmoyne on Saturday last with a final scoreline of 13-24 to1-2 respectively. From the outset the Killanny boys were very dominant in all areas of the pitch and took their points and goals well when they presented themselves. They had a commanding lead at half time and were thus able to empty their subs bench during the second half giving everybody an opportunity to display their skills. This win leaves them top of the League at the moment and their next outing will be on May 23rd in the Championship Quarter Final when they take on Donaghmoyne in Killanny. Please come along and support the boys as they are a lovely team to watch and are improving in confidence with every match. Best of luck in the Championship Quarter Final Boys! Our U12’s played St Patricks in Cloghan at Spring League Finals on bank holiday Monday. Michael Grimes got the first score of the game for Killanny. Scores by Thomas Gartland and John Gartland plus good defence work by Christopher Tobin, Cian Burns, Matthew Maher and Conor Burns in goal saw Killanny lead by a point at half time. The second half saw the two teams go point for point with Darragh O’Shea and Cillian McGahon playing well at midfield. However St Patricks went ahead and despite chances for Killanny with Iarlaith Garland hitting the bar and Cillían McConnon and Thomas Gartland shots going just short Killanny weren’t able to get the scores they needed to win the match.
