Championship Season throws-in:
Corduff’s first Championship win of the 2015 season came on Sunday last when The Reserve / Junior Bs recorded a home victory over Seans in the Prelimlnary round of the Crawley Cup. Corduff opened their account and dominated play in the first quarter going 7 points up before Seans registered a score.. By half time Corduff held a commanding lead but Seans were right back in the game on a scoreline of Corduff 0-10 Seans 0-5. In the second half Seans responded with a series of unanswered points leaving Corduff scoreless in the second half. By the end of normal time the sides were level setting up an exciting period of extra time.
Corduff made no mistake in extra time by scoring an early goal and by half time were in control on a scoreline of 1-14 to 0-11. All wasn’t over for Seans in the second period of extra time as they also responded with a goal. However Corduff had enough in the tank to hold on and were deserving winners by the final whistle on a scoreline of 1-15 to 1-12. Congratulations to management and players and good luck in the next round.
