Scotstown Notes

Credit Union SFL

In our next league game we play Donaghmoyne at home on Wednesday 15th at 7:15pm. We are also scheduled to play Inniskeen at home on Saturday 18th at 7pm and we are away to Clontibret on Wednesday 22nd at 7.30pm.

 

Eurotech JFL

Our Junior team went down to neighbours Eire Og by the smallest of margins on Friday night. Scotstown started brighter going 4 points to 1 ahead after 10 minutes with 2 points from Emmett Caulfield and 1 each from Donnacha Dolan and Michael McCarville. Eire Og began to get their game together and finished the half strong making it 6 points apiece at the break. 3 2nd half points from Ruairi Sheehan took is tally to 5 points for the evening but it was not enough as Eire Og held out for a 0-11 to 0-10 victory. Their next game is at home this Friday 17th at 7pm to Blackhill.

 

Reserve League Division 1A

The next game is on Sunday 6th May at home to Magheracloone at 3pm.

 

MFL Division 1

The minors had an excellent 3-14 to 0-4 win over Carrickmacross on Saturday afternoon. They play St.Patricks tonight Tuesday 14th at 7pm in Scotstown. They also play Monaghan Harps on Tuesday 22st at 7:15pm.

 

U16 Boys

The U16 boys had a good 5-9 to 2-5 victory over St. Patricks on Thursday evening. They play Truagh this Thursday at 6.30pm. This has been fixed as an away game but is likely to be changed to Scotstown. Please check twitter and facebook for updates.

 

U14 Division 1 Boys

Our U14 boys play Castleblayney in the Division 1 Championship Semi Final this Thursday. Throw in is at 6.30pm. Good luck to all involved.

 

U14 Boys Development Division 5 Team

The U14 Division 5 side lost to league leaders Patrick Emmets (Currin and Aghabog) on Saturday.

 

U12 Boys

The U12 boys have 2 games against Castleblayney next Tuesday the 21st at home. 1stgame is at 6.30pm whilst the 2nd will commence at 7:45pm sharp.

 

Senior Ladies

The Senior Ladies play Corduff on Thursday 16th April at 7pm in Corduff.

 

Senior Ladies NCSG – Reserve League

The next reserve ladies game is fixed for Sunday 26th April away to Latton at 5pm.

 

Minor Girls

The first game for our minor girls is at home to Carrickmacross on Thursday 23rd April at 6:45pm.

 

U16 Girls

The U16 girls had a good 3 point win over Tyholland on Monday night. It was a great overall team performance to get the girls off to a good start.

 

U14 Girls

Next game is away to St.Brigids on Monday 20th April at 6:45pm.

 

U12 Girls

Training continues on Thursdays at 6pm in Kilmore.

Irish Classes

Ciorcal Gaeilge every Tuesday in the meeting room, sports complex between 8.30pm-9.30pm. Fáilte roimh gach duine.

 

Club Shop

Our club shop is open this Friday 7-8pm.

 

Scór Sinsir

The Scór Sinsir  Babhta Ceannais na hÉireann will take place in the Citywest Hotel Dublin on April 25th. Our club will be represented by  Mollie McKeever  in the Solo Singing and the quiz team consisting of – Niall Ó  Lamhna, Peadar Ó Lamhna, Séamus Ó Gionnáin and Seán Ó Corra. Tickets for this can be ordered from Pauline Rooney or contact any committee member.

 

Sports First Aid

A Sports First Aid course will take place in the Complex on Wednesday, 29th April from 6:30pm-10pm. This course is aimed at all coaches/mentors involved with any juvenile or adult club team. Well done

Well done to our own Darragh Murray and Mark McPhillips who played at half time in Croke Park during Monaghans narrow loss to Dublin on Sunday.
