With no county teams in action this week, it’s all about a busy schedule in the club competitions.

The County Monaghan Group of Credit Unions Senior Football League continues on Saturday when Donaghmoyne will be bidding for their first points at home to Ballybay, who haven’t won since they defeated Clontibret in the opening round. Leaders Scotstown are at home to Latton on Sunday, with the other unbeaten teams, Magheracloone and Monaghan Harps, away to Castleblayney and Truagh respectively, while Clontibret look for their first win in Inniskeen. There is also a rescheduled game between Latton and Magheracloone on Wednesday evening.

Monaghan Electrical 

Emyvale go in search of a fifth consecutive win in the Monaghan Electrical Intermediate Football League in Cremartin on Sunday, while Aughnamullen and Doohamlet will both have a fourth victory in their sights when they face Clones and winless Currin respectively. Carrickmacross will hope to bounce back from losing on Wednesday when they host Tyholland, with Corduff hosting Drumhowan in the other game. Cremartin and Corduff renew their rivalry on Wednesday evening, while Currin travel to Carrickmacross.

Eurotech 

Éire Óg have won their last three Eurotech Junior Football League games ahead of Toome’s visit to Smithborough on Friday, while the big game on Sunday sees leaders Rockcorry and second-placed Seán McDermotts – both relegated from intermediate in 2014 – put their credentials on the line. Also on Sunday, Aghabog face Oram, Blackhill meet Killanny and the bottom two cross paths when Killeevan go to Scotstown.

 

A busy schedule in the Minor Football League Division One continues with Seán McDermotts v Monaghan Harps on Friday, Scotstown v joint-leaders Magheracloone on Saturday and a full round on Tuesday evening. Scotstown host the other co-leaders Donaghmoyne on Tuesday, while Clontibret and Truagh head south to Carrickmacross and Magheracloone respectively and St. Patrick’s face Monaghan Harps in Drumhowan. Toome and Cremartin have the chance to move into the top two in the MFL Division Two when they go head-to-head on Saturday, while Corduff host Inniskeen. The current top two, Na Mullaí Sarsfields and Aughnamullen, meet in Smithborough on Tuesday, when the other fixtures are Clones v Toome, Cremartin v Inniskeen and Emyvale v Corduff. Two of the three joint table-toppers in Division Three are in action on Saturday, namely Patrick Emmets at home to Doohamlet in Scotshouse and Killanny away to Emerald Sarsfields in Oram. The other game is a derby between Rockcorry and Latton, who have another local clash on Tuesday at home to Doohamlet. Killanny make the long journey to Tyholland on Tuesday, with Patrick Emmets facing Castleblayney and Rockcorry up against Emerald Sarsfields.

Platinum-Tanks-Limited-300px 

There is just one game in the Platinum Tanks Reserve Football Leagues, with Emyvale hosting Aghabog in Division Three on Wednesday.

 Silver Hill Foods

Round three of the Silver Hill Foods Senior Hurling League sees Inniskeen and Truagh host Clontibret and Castleblayney respectively on Thursday evening. There are two games in the Silver Hill Foods Minor Hurling League on Sunday: Monaghan Harps v Carrickmacross and Truagh v Castleblayney.

In another big week in the Gerry’s Prepared Veg. juvenile competitions, the schedule is dominated by two Under-14 Football Championship Finals on Saturday. Truagh and Donaghmoyne contest the Division Two decider in the first part of a double-header in Blackhill, before Carrickmacross and Castleblayney battle it out for the Division One title. There is also action in the Under-16 and Under-14 Football Leagues spread over the weekend, while the Under-12 Hurling League gets underway on Monday evening, with action also in the Under-16 Hurling League
