Plans are underway for our Lotto to celebrate its 21st birthday on the May Bank Holiday weekend and all ongoing support is greatly appreciated.

Seniors: Our next Senior Football League game is scheduled to be at home to Magheracloone on Sunday week, but is dependent on Monaghan’s progress in the National League. Keep an eye on club notes and online for updates.

Reserves: Our O’Duffy Cup team had a good win in the RFL Division 1B away to Ballybay last Sunday. Points by Dean Fanning, Evan Doherty and Michael Galligan had our lads ahead by 0-7 to 0-2 at half-time, having played with the wind, while a strong defensive performance against the elements saw the Harps secure a 0-10 to 0-4 win.

Team and scorers: Cónall McKenna; Niall Treanor, Gareth Treanor, Mustafa Gamal; Conor Forde, Aodhán Óg McAnespie, Dónal McCarthy; James McKenna, Shane Coyle; Paul Rushe, Niall Greenan, Michael Galligan (0-2); Dean Fanning (Capt., 0-5), Gerard Gilsenan, Evan Doherty (0-3).

Subs: Emmett McArdle for Rushe, Carl Foentjies for Forde, Conor Devlin for McArdle (black card), Jason McHugh for Gilsenan.

This Saturday, it’s the turn of the McKeown Cup team with a league game at home to Clones at 6pm.

Minors: Our minor footballers lost by 0-16 to 2-6 at home to Truagh last Tuesday. A Darragh Hannon goal and points by Shane McMahon and Jack Deery got our lads off to a good start, but they had fallen five behind (0-10 to 1-2) by half-time. Dillon Duffy hit 1-2 in the second half and Dylan McKenna got a couple of points as the Harps attempted to turn it around, but a couple of late attempts on goal came to nothing. This evening (Tuesday’s) scheduled game against Seán McDermotts was postponed due to the rearranged county minor hurling match. Our minors host Magheracloone next Tuesday.

Team and scorers: Dylan McAree; Niall McManus, Evan Cudden, Conor Flynn; Kyle O’Leary, John Mulligan, David Lowry (Capt.); Dylan McKenna (0-2), Kevin Lyden; Jack Deery (0-1), Remy McKenna, Shane McMahon (0-1); Darragh Hannon (1-0), Dillon Duffy (1-2), Conor Duffy.

Subs: Ethan Murphy for Hannon, Shane McKenna for Cudden, Anthony Greenan for O’Leary.

U-14: Our Under-14 Division Four team put in a spirited performance in difficult conditions away to Clontibret last Saturday. Points by Dylan Ballantine and Erikas Dikmonas (two) kept our lads in touch in an evenly-matched start, but we were unable to convert a couple of goal chances, while Clontibret were more clinical at the other end. Terence McDonald eventually got the goal our lads had been threatening to close the gap to 2-4 to 1-3 at half-time, but a strong home team pulled away at the start of the second half. A clever piece of skill gave Terence a second goal, while Brian McAteer added a point and Nathan Lavery hit the net, leaving the final score 4-9 to 3-4 to Clontibret.

Team and scorers: Daragh Croarkin; Lukas Virfilas, Mujtaba Gamal; Jamie McCarron, Nathan Lavery (1-0), Liam Conway; Tiarnán O’Rourke, Dylan Ballantine (0-1, ’45); Josh Maguire, Dean Doherty, Terence McDonald (2-0); Brian McAteer (0-1f), Erikas Dikmonas (0-2).

Subs used: Shea Treanor, Killian Treanor, Kamile Parszywka.

The Division One league game was postponed due to a bereavement in the Latton club. Both teams are in action this Thursday in a Division One championship game away to Scotstown and a Division Four league game in Cremartin. Good luck to all involved.

U-12: Our three Under-12 football teams continue the Spring League with away games this Saturday. Our Zone C and Zone D teams are away to Carrickmacross, while our Zone I lads are in Oram.

U-16: The Under-16 Football League will begin with a home game against Truagh next Thursday, April 9.
