Under 14
The U14’s made the long journey to Smithborough on Saturday last to take on Eire Og in their first league game of the season. Killanny got off to a great start with goals from Kyle Connolly and Kian Duffy. In the early part of the game Killanny were well on top thanks in no small part to Ronan Grimes, Ciaran O’ Reilly and Jack Guinan. Eire Og however gained a foothold in the game as the half wore on and by half time lead on a scoreline of 2 – 06 to 2 – 04. As in the first half Killanny started the second half brightly with Daragh Markey, Darren Leegan and David Leegan all kicking points. Oisin Burns was outstanding in the full back line and he got good support from Tomas Goodman, while Mark Lambe was secure between the posts. Daire O’Shea,Ciaran Walsh, Patrick Martin and Tiernan O’Brien all did well when introduced. Killanny looked set for victory when David Leegan found the opposition net but Eire Og finished strongly to deny Killanny. Despite the loss there were positives to be taken from the match, the team played very good football and combined well as a team.

Congratulations
Well done to Kevin Crawley on his performances with the senior county hurling team. Their latest victory over Fermanagh secured a final place where hopefully they will finish their campaign in glory.

Our annual flag day on weekend 11th April.
