During the last week of the Easter School Holidays Monaghan Coaching and Games organised the annual Farney Academy Easter Camps. The camps took place in Magheracloone (88 participants), Ballybay (88 participants) Clones (82 participants), Scotstown (138 participants) and for the first time Monaghan Harps (55 participants). In all we had 451 boys and girls aging from 5 to 13 years old taking part in the 3 day camp. Monaghan Coaching & Games Development Committee would like to thank the host clubs for allowing us to use their excellent facilities and also for their support in promoting the camps within their area. Additionally we would like to thank coaches, camp co-ordinators, parents & children who attended the camp and for their continued support.
Over the 3 day camp participants had the opportunity to win a prize to take part in the half time game between Monaghan & Dublin last Sunday in Croke Park. 12 players got selected in total and by all accounts the players really enjoyed their day out in Croke Park, just a pity about the result!
