Thanks to all participants of the weekly Lotto which is a vital source of club income to maintain our facilities. Lotto’s can be purchased on a weekly basis for €2 or 3 for €5 or alternatively as a multi draw lotto ticket. Please contact any player or committee member and they will gladly provide you with envelopes.  

 

Golf Classic: The club will hold its annual Golf Classic on Saturday 9th May 15 at Clones Golf club. Anyone interested in entering a team (€120) or supporting through sponsorship of a Tee (€50) can contact Colum McMahon 0862525908 or Raymond Leonard 0872459328. Can all sponsors please forward payment to Colum & Raymond by this Sunday 3rd May 15 to ensure your sponsorship is appropriately advertised.     

Under 6’s, U8’s & U10’s: Training will take place Sunday mornings 11:30 – 12:30.  

 

Under 14’s: The next Gerrys Prepared Veg Ballybay Under 14 Football League game is at home to Aughnamullen Saturday 9th May at 12:00

 

Under 16’s: The next Gerrys Prepared Veg Ballybay Under 16 Football League game is away to Corduffthis evening Thursday 30th April at 7pm. 

 

LadiesU16’s and Minors – Training continues every Thursday at 8pm

 

Senior Team: Our senior team played away to Blackhill last wednesday evening the 22th April, a feisty Blackhill side pushed our boys right to the very end with a last goal, however Eire Ogtook the spoil by a one point margin on a score line of Eire Og 0-11 to Blackhill 1-7. 

 

On Friday 24th April the visiting team to Railway park was ToomeOur boys started brightly and dominated in most areas and pushed into a comfortable lead by half time. This was an opportunity to introduce new players with Francie McMahon comfortably making his introduction to senior ranks. Additional substitutions were made increasing competition for places. The game finished Eire Og 5-17 Toome 1-9.        

 

The next senior game in the Eurotech football league is away to Killanny this Thursday 30thApril at 7:30pm.  All support is welcome.

 

Club Membership: Club membership can be paid to Enda McCluskey at your earliest convenience. Remember all players must be paid up club members for insurance purposes. 

 

Get Well Soon: The Club would like to wish Bridget Hurson a speedy recovery.

St Mary’s National School, Magherarney, Smithboro Annual Fundraiser:

The Parents Association would like to thank the parents,  the wider community and  businesses who sponsored the prizes and the event making this very successful annual fundraiser.  The committee and school are overwhelmed by the continued support and generosityshown by all.
