There were no matching numbers on this occasion!  The following winners will “Keep it Local”€50 Voucher; Tommy Kieran Highfield €20 Voucher; Grace Connolly Drummond Ottra; €20 Voucher; Neil McGeown €10 Voucher; Sean Fitzsimons:  We’re now playing for a jackpot of €2400 and every envelope that is bought is very much appreciated by the Emmets ! The Lotto income goes towards the everyday costs of the club as we foster our National Games for all ages and communities on a voluntary structure! There are three options to play; (a) play weekly (b) subscribe-yearly (c) play on-line!

Go Raibh Maith Agat! Thanks to all the Emmet volunteers who gave their time and support with the recent church-gate collection which was taken up on Sunday 22nd March in support of the juvenile members of the club. We also want to acknowledge the generosity of the general public who once again recognised the work and the commitment of the club by giving generously towards the effort of the Emmets inendeavoring to provide the best for our children:

Under-Fourteen League! The Emmets Division one team travelled to Scotstown on Saturday last in round two of the League but they were unsuccessful on the trip to Pairc Mhuire where they were beaten by the home side by 3.08 to 0.08 after an entertaining game. The result means that after playing two of the top teams that the Emmets are still in search of a win in their group in what is described as a tough division! Round three is not scheduled until Saturday 9th May when the Emmets travel to meet Inniskeen in Grattan Park.

Club Fixtures! The Reserve team has their third outing in league on this Friday night against fellow parishioners Corduff in Corduff at 6.30pm. The Emmets currently stand in second place after a win and a draw from their first two games and should have a strong team available for this local encounter which always offers a keen contest between the clubs! The only thing the team is missing so far is support; so make your way to Corduff to give some backing to the players. On Saturday; the Emmets under twelves continue in the Spring League second round with Monaghan Harps coming to Carrickmacross for two fixtures on the Donaghmoyne Road venue! The first game in Zone D commences at 2.00pm followed at 3.15pm with a Zone C match. Finally an important second game for the minor football team is fixed for next Tuesday evening atDrumhowan for 6.45pm in division one of the league against the amalgamated team St Patrick’s who have won their two games to date.

Vote of Sympathy! At a recent meeting of the Emmets a vote of sympathy was expressed to the McCabe family Kingscourt on the passing of Mrs Bridie McCabe: To husband Andy; daughters Carmel, Breda and Andrea; sons Damien, Drew, Ronan, Neil, Colin and Keith we offer sincere condolences;we also include the Gartlan family of St McCartan’s Villa especially Noel and his family. Bridie is the grandmother ofyoung Jamie Gartlan who is a promising and talented playing member of the Emmets clubBridie is survived by her husband Andy who needs no introduction to Gaelic followers as he was one of the great Cavan footballers of the late sixties and early seventies who gained many honours with his club Crosserlough including Ulster championship success with his county!
