Reserve League 2B
The B Team travelled to Donaghmoyne for the opening game of the season. Never an easy venue to get a result in and this proved to be the case on the day. Donaghmoyne edged a victory 2-12 to 2-08 in a hard fought contest.
Minors:
The minors marked their first game of the year by defeating Scotstown on scoreline of 2-5 to 0-4. A goal in each half proved the difference between the teams. It was good to see the players working hard for each other throughout the game. The next game will be against St Pats with a date and time to be confirmed.

‘WCB’ Boxing Fundraiser Update
The main event is nearly upon us. Saturday the 14th March will see the biggest excitement for a boxing event since Mike Tyson bit the ear off Evander Holyfield. We will hopefully not have deal with such unsavory incidents but I have noticed some competitors looking long and hard at their sparring partners which may suggest a wee nibble might unsettle their opponents. The event is set to be a sell-out so don’t delay in securing your golden ticket. A limited few are still available from players, fighters, and committee members. The action starts at 8.30pm with nine bouts and a celebration disco afterwards. To all the sponsors and people who have bought tickets , we are most grateful and appreciative but to all those who haven’t bought a ticket yet… why not? You cannot afford to miss this once in in a lifetime extravaganza when Las Vegas comes to the village.
Cultural Night
Please remember to keep the 2nd Friday free of each month, at 9pm. Our feast of local musical talent performs in the complex. We look forward to seeing you all there. Refreshments served & everyone is welcome.
