Parish Concert
OMG…WOW! WOW!! WOW!!! W0W!!!!…what an amazing show last Sunday night in St. Mary’s Hall. Such talent! It’s hard to put into words how awesome the night was…it was simply breath-taking. It was such a beautiful concert with amazing talent on show it was just joyful and inspiring to watch. To see so many talented and wonderful artists on stage was a delight and thank you to everyone and anyone for showing us your wonderful gifts of music, dance, storey telling & acting. It was an unforgettable night and will rank high up there among the best nights we have ever seen in St. Mary’s Hall. Many thanks to Sean McCaffrey who was Master of Ceremonies and as always he certainly kept the audience entertained with his witty humour. It would be unfair to name people or single out any individuals so a massive well done to everyone who helped to organise the event, sell tickets, do carparking etc. It just goes to prove that when you put your mind to something and get people involved anything is possible. Platinum Tanks RFL Division 2A
Last Saturday 4th March was a bad day for the Irish rugby team with their defeat against Wales and equally it was a poor day for our reserve team as they suffered a bad day at the office against a more co-ordinated Sean McDermott’s side who secured a comfortable and comprehensive victory on a score-line Sean McDermott’s 2-12 Rockcorry 0-2. There is an old Fianna Fáil slogan that goes “a lot done…more to do” and I think that tag line is very suitable to reflect the outcome and performance of today’s encounter. We can all agree that there has been a lot done to date, but we can also agree there is more to do, a lot more to do, because while the players tried hard and showed heart they found it difficult to get through for scores against a shaper Sean McDermott’s outfit who rallied to an easy victory. Hard luck lads, sometimes you have days when nothing goes right for you so keep those heads up and keep working hard at training and be ready for the next match.
