Allianz National Football League Division One

Monaghan 0-15 Derry 0-10                          15/3/15

Monaghan got a second Allianz Football League win in the space of a week when they proved too strong for Derry in Clones on Sunday. Monaghan kicked 0-14 from play, with Conor McManus and Dessie Mone leading the charge, as they claimed a third win out of five, which gives them a good chance of achieving their primary aim of staying up and leaves them currently sitting in a three-way tie for second place ahead of the trip to Killarney to face All-Ireland champions Kerry on March 29. This five-point win, which saw Monaghan lead from the 14th minute right through to the final whistle, also continues Malachy O’Rourke’s side impressive record at St. Tiarnach’s Park.
