SYMPATHY
The Club would like to sympathise with the Carragher family on the recent death of Paddy Carragher, Tattyreagh North. A native of Moneyvolan, Paddy Carragher was a committed and able player and administrator. He played on the 1951 Cremartin team that won the Junior Championship – the first in the club’s history. He was to go on to be a member of the junior double side of 1956 and the Dr Ward Cup winning team in 1957. A forward of skill and prowess, he brought the same dedication to his administrative role in the club. He was Club Secretary for twelve years from 1948 to 1960 and played an important role in the Club’s very survival during the economic and social hardships of the 1950s. He passed on his love of the game and club to his family, a number of whom graced the football and Camogie fields in the green of Cremartin and continue to be central to our Club and Association today. Ar DheisDe Go Raibh A Anam.
