Well done to our Reserves in the Reserve league 13 a side game against Toome on Saturday. Team John Holland, Kevin Reilly, Eugene Holland, Ciaran Kelly,Jake Reihill. Packie McCarville, Ethan Audely, James McElwain, Eoin Kelly Cian O Connor, Luke Reihill, Dean O Connor, Emmet McEntee. Well done to the County Seniors who’ve certainly settled very well into Division 1 football and put the defeat against Mayo last week very much behind them with a great win over Donegal in Letterkenny. Our own man Fintan Kelly scoring the last point that secured victory. Next up is a home game against Derry, best of luck lads.
Congratulations and the very best of luck to Aogan O’Farrell who recently became the first Cavan man to be elected President of the GAA.
The very best of luck to Largy College Senior team who play in the Ulster Colleges Semi Final on Friday. Venue and time are TBC as yet, keep an eye on our Facebook and Twitter pages.
Seachtain Na Gaeilge: Déanaigí bhur ndícheall ár dteanga dúchais a labhairt an seachtain seo. Gaeilge inár groíthe is bródúil asti. Do your best to speak our native language this week. Gaeilge in our hearts and proud of it. Enjoy the St. Patricks weekend celebrations.
U10’s: Last Saturday saw an Under 10 indoor blitz taking place at The Peace Link. This was organised with Eire Og, Killevan, Currin and Clones clubs. It is a five a side competition that is fast paced and brilliant to watch. This will continue every Saturday in March. There were some fantastic performances from our youngsters and as winter turns into spring there are worse things to do than watch our youngest seedlings hone their skills and see them in action over the next 3 weeks. A big thank you to our neighbours for their cooperation in organising these Saturday morning blitzs.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers in the club, all their hardwork supporting their little and not so little players, cleaning jerseys, finding gumshields, travelling to and from games and training, guidance and effort on committee and playing key roles on big match days. The club simply wouldn’t function without our Mammies. Mná na hĖireann behind everything that is good in the club.
Best of luck to Niall Lynch who is tying the not this weekend to the love of his life! Not Celtic Karinn his long suffering girlfriend. Good health and fortune to the happy couple.
Sincerest Sympathy to the family, friends and the Scotstown club of the sudden passing of former Club and County Chairman Peter Sherry. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.
