Fixtures This week saw the club received the fixtures for the Youth Championships, our Under 16 Boys have received a bye into the semi-final where they will play the winners of Clontibret and Cremartin while our Under 14 Senior Boys Team will play the winners of Scotstown or Monaghan Harps in their semi final with the Under 14 Boys Development team playing Tyholland in their Semi Final. Our Under 12 Boys Senior and Development teams have been drawn in a group alongside Scotstown, Donaghmoyne and Emyvale. We confirm all fixtures once we have received them.

 

Juvenile Training Can we ask all parents/guardians to please make sure that their Children have their Gum Shields with them each week; we are also encouraging the Boys and Girls to take their own water bottles with their name on them to every training session and match.

 

Under 10 Training Training resumes this Thursday night on Our Lady’s Astro Turf at 7pm, we will also have training on Saturday morning at 10am to 11.15 am in Our Lady’s Gym. Please make sure that the boys have Gum Shield and Water with them.

 

Danske Bank MacRory Cup semi-final Last Sunday saw us host the Danske Bank MacRory Cup semi-final between St Pats Cavan and Omagh CBS. In a defensive encounter, St Patrick’s Cavan came through to their first final in 40 years after a thoroughly deserved five points win. The winners looked the better side throughout and they now face St.Patricks Dungannon in the decider on St Patrick’s Day.

 

Coaching and Development As part of the Club Development Programme Monaghan Coaching & Games will be running a Workshops on Wednesday night. This week’s workshop will focus on Games for U14 – U16. Any coaches who are involved with teams at these age groups are more than welcome to attend. Details on the workshops are as follows

Workshop 2  “GAMES FOR U14 – U16″,Date: Wednesday the 4th March (Games for U14 – U16)Venue: Sean McDermotts GAA Club, Time: 7.30pm – 9.00pm

 

Well Done This week’s well done goes out to all our players who were involved in the Boys School production of “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”, which was on stage to a full house for Wednesday , Thursday and Friday last week. It was a brilliant show put on by a brilliant cast, it was great to see the many talents of our own Juveniles on the stage.

 

Congratulations Congrats to Eddie Kelly and his Senior Football team in Our Lady’s Secondary School who won a place in the Danske Bank MacLarnon Cup final with a controlled performance against St.Louis, Ballymena in St Paul’s, Lurgan on Saturday. They now play Patrician High School Carrickmacross in the first All Monaghan Ulster Final on St.Patricks Day.

 

Best of Luck The Club would like to wish Darren McQuillan our Ladies Football Chairperson all the best this week as gets ready for his big Captains Drive In in Concra Wood on Sunday morning, Darren has been work hard on his golf swing between training the Under 14 and Under 16 Girls .Please feel free to go out and support Darren on Sunday at 10am ,we would advise you all to stay of the second hole its Darren favourite landing position from the first tee.
