Castleblayney Hurling Club Presentation Night
This Friday 20th March will see the Glencarn Hotel host the club’s annual awards night and this year’s event promises to be an event not to be missed. 2014 was a hugely successful year for the club and these successes will all be celebrated on Friday night. In total the club won 7 trophies with every team from U12 to senior getting their hands on at least one piece of silverware. Added to this were plenty of personal awards with Mark Treanor, Peter Treanor and Fergal Rafter all winning All Star awards and Monaghan Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year awards going to Mark Treanor and Paddy Finnegan. Our senior manager Paul Hughes was shortlisted for an Ulster Hurling Manager of the Year award while the club also won Monaghan GAA’s Youth Achievement award. To properly celebrate these successes a great night’s music and craic is in store on Friday night. Tickets are €25 and are available from Hugh Cullen 0862541200. Dinner will be served at 8pm sharp to give plenty of time for the celebrations.
