Seniors: Our Seniors played thier 1st game at home against Tyholland on Sunday last and started off the season with win over Tyholland on a score line of Aughnamullen (0-16). Tyholland (0-10). They now play away to Currin on Sunday the 12th of April at 2pm. All support Welcome. Training will continue every Tuesday & Friday Nights at 8pm. Everybody to be present.
Reserves: The Reserves play away to Emyvale tomorrow night next Friday at 8pm. All support welcome.
Minors: The Minors played Emerald Sarsfields in a challenge last Sunday morning. They play their first league game on Tuesday next the 31st of March away to Clones at 6 30pm. All support welcome
The Late Pat Mc Geough: On Friday 13th March Aughnamullen GFC lost one of its club members in Pat Mc Geough a great supporter of our club and a former Hall of Fame Recipient.
Pat supported the club in many ways in his earlier days he donned the blue and white jersey of Aughnamullen for a time and was a tenancious and determined footballer in the way football was played at that time.
Following his football career he continued to support the club in many years he supported all fundraising initatives the club held and was a great follower of the club Lotto from the outset of the Lotto. He was inducted into the club Hall of Fame in 2013 alongside his brothers Brian, Frank, Mick and Jim. May God have mercy on his soul. Sympathy is extended to all members of his family.
Club Membership: Membership is now due for the cost of €20 for an Adult and € 10 for a student. For the cost of €20 you are entitled to a vote at the AGM and to have your name entered in draw for All Ireland Final Tickets. Also a member will receive first preference on tickets to inter county championship games during the summer. Payment be made payable to Secretary Bernie Mc Brien asap as closing date for membership is the 31stMarch.

Well Done: Well Done To Michael Bannigan and Kevin Sheridan who were members of the victorious Our Ladys Secondary School Castleblayney who recently won the Mc Larnon Cup for the first time in 10 years beating Patrician High School Carrickmacross on a scoreline of 4-08 to 0-08. Also to Shane Conlon and the County U 21 Team who beat Derry in the Ulster U 21 Q Final last Wednesday night they now play Donegal in the semi final next Wednesday night.
Registration took place on Sunday last, there was a good turn out on the evening. Anybody that has not registered their child please do so by contacting any of the members of the juvenile committee.

Sarsfield stars under 10’s and 8’s continue on Saturday mornings at 10 am. Under 6’s are not commencing until after Easter.

Under 16’s training continues on Tuesday nights getting ready for their first league game Thursday the 9th of April against Donamoyne.
Under 14’s
Under 14’s have a bye this weekend, training continues on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
Under 12’s. Under 12’s played their first game against Doohamlet last Saturday unfortunately didn’t get off to a winning start. They play Cremartin on Saturday the 4th of April at home, training continues on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s at 7pm.
Nursery club:
Due to the high numbers of boys and girls from 4 yrs to 6 yrs we would appreciate any ladies and men that are available to help out with this age group.
