Social Club
We are pleased to announce that our Social Club is open for all events. Whether it be a Christening, Party, Communion, Confirmation or any other event we are happy to cater for your needs. We offer packages supplying food and entertainment tailored to your requirements. Juvenile Registration Night
The Juvenile registration night will be held on Friday 27th February in the Complex from 7-9pm. This will cater for all players U16 right down to our academy players at U6. Information letters will be circulated this week for all players / parents. Keep an eye on our Facebook page also for more details. Please note that this will the only night which club membership can be paid so please make an effort to attend.

Scotstown Academy
All our young “Future Blues” will be delighted to hear that our Scotstown Academy for U6 and U8s will be starting up very soon. Details are just been finalised at the moment so watch this space and our Facebook page for more information. All players will receive an Academy pack full of Scotstown “goodies” which parents can collect on registration night on Feb 27th. Our U10’s are already up and running in an indoor league on Saturdays in Monaghan under the guidance of David McCague and Marc Mullen.

2015 Sports Prediction Quiz
On Saturday night last we launched the 2015 Sports Prediction Quiz. It consists of 25 sporting events over the course of 2015 with points been allocated after each event. The applicant with the most points will win a top prize of €500. Entries must be returned before 25th Feb. Complete online (www.scotstowngaa.com) or simply pick an entry form from a committee member. All proceeds go towards club finances. Can anyone who sold any please contact Mark on 086-8937705 to return these with money also.

Allianz National Football League
Cork snatched a late win over Monaghan in Castleblayney on Sunday on a score line of 2-14 to 1-16. Monaghan’s next game is against Mayo in Castlebar on March 1st at 2pm.

U21 Shamrock Cup
The U21s slumped to a defeat to rivals Tyrone in the Shamrock Cup at the weekend.

Referee Recruitment
An induction course for new referees will commence during the latter half of February this year. There is an urgent need for new referees to officiate, initially at U12 and U14 level. Ongoing training will be provided on a regular basis throughout 2015. Referees Administrator John Mullen needs to have names and contact details of prospective new referees by Sunday 15th February at the latest. His email is: refereesadministrator.monaghan@gaa.ie

Adult Club Membership
Adult Club Membership can be paid to our club Registrar Frankie McCarey. Non Playing Member €30, Adult Playing Member (Over 18) €30, Minor – €20. All other Juvenile membership to be paid at registration night.

Ciste Draw
The next draw will be on Saturday, February 28th in the Social Club. We have recently added a new feature to the website. You are now able to purchase Ciste online. A payment of €28 is made every 4 months via Paypal. This is an excellent feature now for all Scotstown gaels living abroad to be in with a chance of winning the €700 top prize every month but also supporting our club. Check it out www.sotstowngaa.ie

Irish Classes:
Ciorcal Gaeilge every Tuesday in the meeting room, sports complex between 8.30pm-9.30pm. Fáilte roimh gach duine.

Upcoming Coaching Workshops/Courses
Monaghan GAA are running the following courses over the coming months. 1) Foundation Coaching Course – March 6th +7th. 2) Level 1- Child 13th+14th March. 3) Level 1 Adult- 27th+28th Feb + 1st March. Anybody wishing to do these courses please contact David on 087-6202242. Remember you must have the Foundation course done at the very minimum to be involved with a team in 2015. In 2016 you must have a Level 1.

Coaching Help
We are looking for people to volunteer in the following roles. I urge anyone with interest to please come forward. 1. Somebody from within the club to take on the role of U-6 Co-ordinator, a parent possibly, to take the lead in organising the nursery programme. 2. Somebody who would be interested in volunteering their time to help out with the coaching of players in the primary schools of the parish (once a week for 1/2 hours). 3. People/ parents to help out in any way with coaching our U6/8/10’s. Anybody who would consider helping out in anyway should contact David on 0876202242.

Senior Scór
Senior Scór will take place in February (Date not decided). Anyone interested taking part in any of the events, please contact Pauline on 0879655031. Anyone interested in becoming part of the quiz team and taking part please also contact Pauline.

Senior Ladies
Senior Ladies Training Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm, Sundays at 9am in Kilmore. Old and new faces welcome.
