Emyvale Notes

By Majella Boyd Tue 24th Feb

Emyvale GAA Club Notes for Thursday 26th Feb:

Sympathy: The deepest sympathy of the club is extended to the Mc Aree Family on the death of Kieran Mc Aree. Ar dheis De go raibh a anam.

Scor: The final was held on Saturday night. Congratulations to all who made the ulster semi final.

Handball: Darren Doherty had a great start to 2015, he battled his way through an extremely talented field in the intervarsity college in kings court at the end of January where he lost  in the final to Martin Mulkerrins. Darren showed this loss would not affect him as he went on to win the Ulster u21 title in Armagh against Gavin Mc Crystal last Saturday. 2015 promises to be an interesting year with the world championships coming up in Canada so we wish him all the best with his preparation for this.

Barry Mc Guirk hard to fight hard to make the final of the novice 3, where he beat fellow club man David Treanor in the semi final. He is due to play Fergal O’ Neill in the final in the coming weeks.

Finally a big congratulations to Pete Larkin who beat Michael Mc Carron of Truagh in the Ulster final of the diamond masters to secure yet another medal and Ulster title.

Pitch Availability: Micky Mc Carron will be in charge of pitch bookings for the coming year. All pitch bookings for matches and/or training sessions should be made through Micky.
