Emyvale GAA Registration night for Juveniles and all other Club Members to be held on Tuesday 24 February, 7:30pm to 9:30pm in Corracrin Sports Hall. Come along and register for 2015!!!

Emyvale GAA Juvenile Club will be holding their Nursery Programme in 2015. The programme will run on Saturday mornings starting next Saturday 14th February running until Saturday 28th March from 10:30am to 11:30am in the Emyvale Leisure Centre for children attending Junior Infants to 1st class. Each session will cost one euro and parents will be encouraged to take part. Last Saturday morning 7th February saw the start of the U-10 indoor gaelic football winter league in the Monaghan Institute Sports Hall. We had two teams competing on the day and well done to everyone who took part. The league runs for a further 3 weeks, the final Saturday being 28th February. There will be two time slots next Saturday 14th February due to the large numbers in attendance last weekend, parents will be notified directly when Emyvale’s time slot is confirmed. This year we will be entering a U-10 team in the Community Games Gaelic Football competition. Under-10 teams in Community Games are for children who are aged 10 or younger on the 1st August 2015. Anyone interested in playing in this competition who is not currently playing Gaelic Games please contact Martin O’Brien 0876721981.

The presentation of medals to both our U-12 teams will take place tomorrow night Friday 13th February in St. Macartan’s Sport Hall. The presentation will take place at 6.30pm and the medals will be presented by Paul Durcan from the All Ireland winning Donegal team. This will be followed by an indoor blitz so wear your gear, runners and bring your mouth guards.

Well done to all the boys from our club who played at half time in the Monaghan vs Cork National League Division One game held in Castleblayney last Sunday.

For anyone interested in training as a coach, there are foundation level coaching courses running on three separate dates in March. The Mc Elroy/Connelly Memorial Tournament will take place on Bank Holiday Monday 6th April 2015. This will be an U-16 tournament run on a Blitz basis. Keep the date free as help will be required on the day.

U-14 & U-16 coaches and managers are now in place and training will commence in the coming weeks.
