Clones Club Notes
Dinner Dance on Saturday night was a huge success and very well supported.  With two trophies on display again like last year there was a lot of juvenile success to celebrate.  All Star Colin Washe and our own Fintan Kelly were there to hand out the medals to both winning teams.  If the football doesn’t work out for Colin he can take up motivational speaking. He gave a fantastic motivational speech to the young players, about their friendships, commitment and development as young players indeed if they’d thrown up a ball between the U16 and U12 teams there would’ve been carnage in the Creighton such was the reaction he received. Hard Luck to the Monaghan U21’s who lost out to the old nemesis Tyrone on Sunday in the Shamrock Cup.  Selector Declan McKernan and David Freeman are involved with team with David getting a point from play at the end of the game.  Their next assignment is an Ulster Championship Quarterfinal against Derry or Down on March 18th and we wish them the very best of luck.
