Castleblayney Hurling Notes

By Majella Boyd Tue 10th Feb

Juvenile training
Most of our juvenile teams will return to training in the not too distant future.
U6 and U8 training recommences on Wednesday the 18th of February from 6.30 to 7.30pm in Our Lady’s Secondary School gym. Hurls and helmets are provided and the cost of the session is 2 euro. New players are always welcome.
U10 training also returns on Wednesday the 18th of February from 7.30 to 8.30pm in Rath na nÓg. Again hurls and helmets are provided and the cost of the session is 2 euro
U12 training starts on Monday the 16th of February in Rath na nÓg from 6pm to 7pm.
The U14 squad will be starting back training soon and Noel will be in touch with details over the coming weeks.

Coaching Courses
A coaching course for all U10, U12, U14 and U16 coaches will take place this Monday the 23rd of February. We would ask that all of our club coaches keep this date free. Unfortunately at the time of print, the venue for this course was still unconfirmed. Coaching officer Jarlath Denny will get the word out when a venue has been confirmed

St Mary’s Park
Congratulations to the Castleblayney Faughs on their excellent organisation of Sunday’s Allianz NFL match between Monaghan and Cork. It was great to see Blayney featuring in a high profile televised match and hopefully there will be many more big games to come over the next few years

Good Luck
Good luck to the Monaghan Senior Hurling panel, and in particular to all involved from Castleblayney, who begin their Allianz league campaign this weekend with a tricky away match against Tyrone in Healy Park, Omagh on Sunday afternoon. Good luck lads
